Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is TODO: registered company name, TODO: registered address, Finland. For any question about your personal data, write to TODO: privacy contact email.

What we collect and why

To take and honour your booking — name, email, phone, address, dates, number of guests, and payment confirmation. The legal basis is performance of the contract between us (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

To meet the Finnish Accommodation Act — a traveller record for every guest: full name, date of birth or Finnish personal identity code, nationality, address, country of arrival, and travel document number. The legal basis is our legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). We are required to retain these records for one year.

To meet EU Regulation 2024/1028 — activity data about nights booked and guests hosted, where a competent authority requires it. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Who processes your data with us

  • Smoobu GmbH (Berlin, Germany) — our booking system. It holds reservations, guest messages and the online check-in form.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe; they are never handled by this website.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for this site.

All of these process data on our instructions under data processing agreements.

What this website itself collects

This site sets no analytics and no advertising cookies, and no non-essential cookies at all. See our cookie notice.

How long we keep things

Traveller records: one year, as required by law. Booking and accounting records: as required by Finnish accounting legislation. Correspondence: no longer than needed to deal with the matter.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or restrict processing, and ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you may complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi).
